If there’s one thing that’s gotten people into “serious discussions” at the CM Summit, it’s been metrics. What metrics matter? Why? Who measures them best? Do cookies matter at all? How do you measure people?
One morning session was entirely wasted on the panelists giving free commercials for their companies, and then arguing with each other about why their company does it best. [sigh]
Luckily it was salvaged by an afternoon session on “super metrics” with different panelists. Jeremiah Owyang moderated. He played devil’s advocate and made the panelists support their claims with evidence. I took a short video, which I will add after I recharge my laptop battery… we’re running on six percent power.
