As we continue to refine and work on our own Pinterest strategy here at Spiral16, I’m always searching for helpful Pinterest tips and ideas on how to engage with people more effectively on this uniquely visual social network.
This morning I stumbled across this cool social media infographic, which talks about the 10 Commandments of Pinterest. A couple weeks ago, we wrote about some of the B2B Pinterest ideas that we’ve put into place, and how this is an interesting challenge for brands like ours that don’t have an obvious visual aspect (although our 3D data visualization looks pretty cool).
I was excited to see many of our successful methods in this Pinterest infographic, including things like finding and researching clients on Pinterest, contributing to other boards, and going beyond what you do to showcase your brand personality.
Some other tips offered by Socially Sorted in this new Pinterest infographic:
- Don’t pin dump. Space your pins.
- Pin across a range of boards that relate to your area of focus.
- Follow other like-minded pinners, comment on pins you like and find useful, like them.
- Add web links in your description.

This is a great infographic! Why don’t you let people pin it on Pinterest?
The pin button has been officially added! Thanks for the extra push.
Great infographic. I know I need to step up my Pinterest marketing strategy. Thanks for sharing.
